Little sections of our stream, designed to catch the roof water and carry it to our pond, are completed. Foot-by-foot it is turning into a natural looking waterway that Mother Nature would approve.

This Blog is about building our new home on Whidbey Island. Our designer and builder is Brad Hankins, doing business as Design Build Brad. This small 870 sq. ft. home is made up of three buildings and incorporates sustainable building practices, including solar hot water collectors, roof water collection system and native plant restoration. Each of the three buildings are built extensively of recycled materials.
